Agreement to Terms
Welcome to GeoVantage. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GeoVantage's geophysical equipment rental services, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
GeoVantage is a leading provider of advanced geophysical equipment rental services, headquartered in Dubai, UAE. We specialize in providing high-quality scientific instruments for subsurface exploration, environmental studies, and geotechnical investigations.
GeoVantage Equipment Rental Services
GeoVantage provides comprehensive rental services for state-of-the-art geophysical equipment including:
- Seismic survey equipment and refraction systems
- Ground penetrating radar (GPR) systems and antennas
- Magnetometers, gravimeters, and electromagnetic instruments
- Electrical resistivity and induced polarization equipment
- Data acquisition systems and field computers
- Processing software and technical support services
- Accessories, cables, and field deployment equipment
All GeoVantage equipment is subject to availability, technical specifications, and rental terms specified in individual rental agreements. Equipment condition and calibration certificates are provided with each rental.
Customer Responsibilities
As a GeoVantage customer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate project information and technical requirements when requesting equipment
- Use equipment solely for legitimate geophysical survey purposes
- Follow all GeoVantage safety protocols and manufacturer operating instructions
- Ensure operators are properly trained and qualified to use the equipment
- Return equipment in the same condition as received, normal wear excepted
- Report any damage, malfunction, or safety incidents immediately to GeoVantage
- Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations
- Maintain adequate insurance coverage for the rental period
- Allow GeoVantage access for equipment inspection if required
Payment Terms and Conditions
GeoVantage payment terms for equipment rental:
- Rental fees are calculated based on daily, weekly, or monthly rates as specified in quotes
- Security deposits are required for all equipment rentals to cover potential damage or loss
- Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed
- Late payment fees of 1.5% per month may apply to overdue accounts
- Additional charges apply for damage, loss, or extended rental periods
- All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, duties, and shipping costs
- Currency exchange rates are fixed at the time of contract signing
- Cancellation fees may apply for last-minute booking changes
Liability and Insurance Requirements
Regarding liability and insurance for GeoVantage equipment rentals:
- Customers assume full responsibility for equipment during the rental period
- Comprehensive insurance coverage is mandatory for all high-value equipment rentals
- GeoVantage liability is limited to the replacement value of equipment as specified in rental agreements
- Customers must report any incidents, accidents, or equipment issues within 24 hours
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, political instability) are excluded from liability
- Third-party damage or injury is the sole responsibility of the customer
- Equipment theft or loss must be reported to local authorities and GeoVantage immediately
- Professional indemnity insurance is recommended for all survey operations
Equipment Delivery and Return
GeoVantage equipment logistics and handling:
- Equipment delivery and pickup are arranged based on project location and timeline
- International shipping and customs clearance services are available
- Equipment condition is documented before delivery and after return
- Customers are responsible for equipment security during transport and storage
- Return shipping costs are typically borne by the customer unless otherwise agreed
- Late return fees apply for equipment not returned by the agreed date
- Equipment must be properly packaged for return shipment to prevent damage
Termination and Cancellation
These Terms and rental agreements may be terminated:
- By either party with 48 hours written notice for standard rentals
- Immediately by GeoVantage for breach of terms, safety violations, or non-payment
- Upon completion of the agreed rental period
- For misuse of equipment or violation of safety protocols
- In case of customer insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings
- Due to equipment recall for safety or maintenance reasons
Upon termination, all equipment must be returned immediately, and outstanding payments become due.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms or GeoVantage services shall be resolved through:
- Initial good faith negotiations between the parties
- Mediation through the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC)
- Final binding arbitration under DIAC rules if mediation fails
- Proceedings conducted in English language in Dubai, UAE
